Newsletter march – April 2026 | Miniature Painting

Well I think we had another productive month of producing content, to be honest I never know if people read these but I do enjoy writing them. We certainly made a few new friends that I think is going to positively boost the patreon. I will mention more about that next month. We made contact with OPR on those special effects but still waiting for a little more clarity. Finally I’m hoping to collaborate with one of my favourite creators again this month, so hopefully there will be a little surprise in store for that.

Onto the studio items, we released our new twist lock base system which I’ve enjoyed using and sketching new attachments for. I dropped one a few days ago for an adapter. Sparked by this little paint job I’m working on. It’s a method for rust that doesn’t use dirty down, expect a guide soon. On the topic of this model I ended up using the priming handle to attach it to my GW handle due to it’s size. Then it hit me why not just have an adapter?

Touching briefly on the releases we had a few interesting packs for basing bits such as the humble bricks and the gentle shrubs.

For the painting guides we also had the squids from Helldivers 2 and the mobile infantry from starship troopers. Two really great guides and easy to follow. One subscriber did tell me they enjoyed the humour in the guides which is something I will lean into more.

A new knowledge guide went up for tips on how to grow your collection and to do it on a budget. These are a few tips and tricks I’ve learnt on the way.

I get terribly side tracked but I got a few cool releases planned for this month. I would put previews in but I just keep changing my mind, so items will appear when they appear.

    Trust me on that.

My miniature of the month pick was this goblin reclaimer tank from One page Rules. I was testing out paint schemes for an upcoming guide and I was just enjoying painting it so much.

It’s very much a metal slug looking tank, I would say team fortress two styled, but either way I love it.

Well that’s my round up from the month, have a great easter and April. The sun is starting to appear down south here in Dorset, so it’s the perfect time to paint outdoors.

    see you next month

    Newsletter February – March 2026

Ok…we are slowly hitting our stride, Although the paint guides have been lacking we now have a setup that works well and allows for better quality guides. I have worked out you need roughly 6 arms to position, paint, photo and hold a cup of tea, but it works. Guides should now be coming out. They are aimed at beginners and learners….no golden demons or fancy glowing effects here…yet.

Our direction with these are to push mainly One Page Rules content guides along with other paint guides for independent creators. Basically anything outside of Warhammer 40k. I love a good space marine myself but it’s very oversaturated with guides, tutorials and media.

This month we managed to get out a few painting tools such as the Cloth Ball which seems to be getting a lot of attention online. This is a set of four cloths focusing on various motions of cloth. We also designed a set of pancake basing bits, perfect for DND and fantasy miniatures. To be honest I’m unsure if pancake day would exist in the grim dark future, who knows? To sort this out we came up with the Pancake Assassin Robot, a specialist in baking up trouble. Perfect for a funny addition to any objective of robot force.

If you didn’t see our cloth ball. Its great for testing out paint schemes and for general practice. It even comes with a handy loop to attach your favourite recipes too.

Releasing this month we have our modular basing set for elevating your miniature displays.

These will also have slots for magnets to work with existing bases. We will be releasing these in 32mm and 28mm, more sizes to follow. These require some tweaking to be done but overall its works smoothly with the slot connection.

Second up is our rebellion hanger display set designed for everyones favourite space fighter game. All the items are modular.

Make sure you follow as we have a few work in progress shots for upcoming items.

Ok, so my miniature of the month was from Skullforge Studios, being a miniature inspired by Starship Troopers. One of my favourite film, mainly because it reminds me of helldivers and when you read into what the director was achieving with deeper meanings in the film, it’s brillaint.

Defiantly worth adding to your collection….

“I only have one rule, everyone paints, no one quits.”

Thanks for reading, have a great start to spring and we will catch up at the end of march.

Hopefully you enjoy what’s coming out this month, there’s lots being worked on so make sure you look out for our guides and products.

    Lets begin..
